Bath Welcomes Refugees is currently supporting several refugee families in Bath and we are fundraising to help bring more to safety within our community. A fundraising goal we are well on our way to reaching is to bring another Syrian family here through the Community Sponsorships scheme. We are also hoping to fund some advanced level English classes for a few of those already here so that they can help with the settling of future families.
BWR’s first fundraising event, From War Zone to Sanctuary, took place in July 2016 at the Guildhall and raised just over £2700. Since then, we have held various events, from a Syrian feast to carol singing in the town centre. Please view the Fundraising Gallery to see pictures from some of these events.
